Sea Scouts is a co-ed program for youth ages 14 to 21 that combines adventure, leadership, and maritime skills as part of Scouting America. Focused on boating and water-based activities, Sea Scouts teaches sailing, seamanship, navigation, safety, and marine operations, while also emphasizing personal development, teamwork, and service. Members belong to units called “ships” and participate in hands-on experiences aboard various watercraft, often working toward rank advancement and certifications. Sea Scouts offers opportunities for leadership, community involvement, and preparation for maritime careers or lifelong enjoyment of the water.
